ABOUT THE ARTIST

I have always loved to draw.  It is such a wonderful way to express what’s inside of me.  And I find inspiration in all sorts of places.

In my previous life I was a civil engineer working on blueprints of new buildings.  That was very rewarding, but I’ve also had a passion for older buildings, especially ones rich in history.  So, many of my paintings are of historic buildings including old tobacco barns that I’ve found in Madison County, North Carolina.

I also love the outdoors and all that nature has to offer.  That passion has inspired me to paint such things as wildflowers and landscapes and all types of lovely creatures. 

 

And finally, I find great joy and release in painting my mind; what’s going on inside my head.  Those paintings range from abstract to humanity to dream-like visions.
